Karma Sherpa grew up in the Mount Everest region in Nepal called Teksindu. He has guided treks and expeditions since 1995 through numerous reputable companies. Karma's 15 years of experience has given him a solid understanding of the guiding, restaurant, hospitality, and trekking industries.
Karma will ensure that your treks, meals and lodging are as enjoyable as possible. He has lived in the U.S. for many years so he is fluent in English, Sherpa, and Nepalese. He has worked for Colorado's Outward Bound course in Nepal. He understands both eastern and western cultures, a trait not matched by many other company guides. Karma has worked in the restaurant industry so he knows how to cook traditional Sherpa meals in ways that make them delicious for all palates. He creates healthy and delicious meals daily for all to enjoy.
Karma ensures that each trip will give people an opportunity to see both local living and local customs. Karma enjoys teaching others about local Sherpa and Tibetan history, culture, as well as effective outdoor skills so that they can truly enjoy nature's beauty. Laurie has been guiding and instructing in the outdoor industry since 2003. She’s an instructor for the Colorado Outward Bound School leading educational wilderness trips, a climbing instructor at Boulder Rock Club, an instructor for the Youth Education Program of the Colorado Mountain Club, CrossFit Coach and Yoga Teacher.
Laurie and Karma Sherpa founded the Good Karma Trek in 2013 and she co-leads with the guides from Sherpa Mountain Adventures in Nepal.
Since 2004, she has been climbing the world’s highest peaks and has dedicated herself to a project called the Power of Seven which raises critical funds for cancer research. She has climbed over 100,000 vertical feet and raised over $80,000 for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. She has traveled to six continents and has climbed five of the famous “Seven Summits”.
Certifications: AAI Mountaineering School, CWA Rock Climbing Instructor, CrossFit Coach, YogaFit Teacher, NOLS Wilderness First Responder, Wilderness First Aid Trainer, CPR, First Aid.
Eric has lived, hiked, climbed and loved the Colorado high country since moving to Boulder in 1983 and is a member of the Colorado Mountain Club and American Alpine Club.
Although he has summited many of Colorado’s highest peaks, having summited 12 times now his personal favorite will always be Long’s Peak. Eric also summited Nepal’s Imja Tse (Island Peak) in 2017.
He is the Founder and Executive Director of Realities for Children Boulder County, a charitable program providing residential services, vocational and academic scholarships for at-risk, abused and neglected youth of Boulder County, Colorado.

Pasang Sherpa was born in Chulemu village of Mt Everest region. He worked for many years in tourism industry as assistant guide. He brings with him expansive experience and willingness to assist the visitors with professionalism and dedicated service. He has genuine interest to visiting different places, trekking & mountaineering. His specialization is in trekking and has in–depth knowledge about the culture and history of Nepal. Ang Babu Sherpa is a local resident in the Everest region. He began guiding in 1991. He has gained extensive knowledge working the last 19 years in the guiding field.
